Mogwai, Pastels, Spinning Coin, Franz Ferdinand & more on new charity comp (listen)

spinning-coin

Mogwai, Franz Ferdinand, The Pastels, Spinning Coin, Errors and more Scottish artists have contributed songs to a new charity compilation titled Glasgow Nights. Proceeds benefit Money Advice Scotland which works to improve the financial health of the people of Scotland via their helpline and education services, and act as a strong voice for consumers to influence social and public policy. The Pastels contribute a really lovely new song, “Boats,” and Spinning Coin’s contribution, “Never Ends,” is a rarity that only appeared on an early tape.  The compilation also features a couple iconic Scottish film soundtrack inclusions as well, like the theme to Bill Forsyth’s classic coming-of-age comedy Gregory’s Girl. You can stream the whole compilation below.

Spinning Coin’s debut album from last year is worth checking out too.
