MoMA's 2019 Party in the Garden performer is Maggie Rogers

Before MoMA closes over the summer for renovations, the museum will host its annual Party in the Garden gala and fundraiser on June 4. The performer for 2019 has been announced, and it’s Maggie Rogers. Past years have included performances from St. Vincent, James Blake, Robyn, Lykke Li, Estelle, The Weeknd, Kanye West, Santigold, Karen O, MIA, James Murphy, and others.

From the event description:

Join us for an incredible evening honoring Alice and Tom Tisch, Yvonne Rainer and Diller Scofidio + Renfro. Cocktails and a seated dinner start off the night with a special musical performance, DJs, and more during an after-party in the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Sculpture Garden.

This gala benefits MoMA’s general operating fund, supporting our award-winning education programs and the care, study, and exhibition of our collection.

Tickets to the Party in the Garden are on sale now, and start at $2500 for dinner and $250 for the afterparty (it is tax deductible, though).

Maggie Rogers plays some festival dates coming up, including Life is Beautiful and Forecastle. As mentioned, her next NYC dates after MoMA are two sold out Radio City Music Hall shows with Empress Of.
