We’ve mentioned the Chaos Bodies series before — it’s a series at Todd P’s new venue Trans Pecos that spotlight “Out-goth, post-industrial, & post-metal” curated by Charlie Looker (Extra Life) and Andrew Hock (Castevet), both of the newish industrial metal band Psalm Zero, who have an excellent album coming out in March.

The first edition of Chaos Bodies, which featured the great avant-metal troupe Kayo Dot, happened earlier this month. The second edition happens at Trans Pecos on February 28 — this time around, it’ll spotlight one-man doom/drone noisemaker Oneirogen. Black metal-ish prog heavies Epistasis (who share several members with Couch Slut) and New Firmament (an ambient project featuring Nick Podgurski of Feast of the Epiphany/Extra Life) will provide backup. Tickets are $9 at the door.

In related news, Andrew Hock and Josh Strawn (Vaura, Psalm Zero)’s artist-specific Material Source DJ night continues this Friday (1/31) at Sage, this time with Hock playing material from Scott Walker‘s catalog.
