Moonface

Moonface & Siinai share new song; Wolf Parade continued their NYC run (night 2 pics & setlist)

Spencer Krug’s Moonface project recently announced another collaborative album with Finnish group Siinai, My Best Human Face, which will be out June 3 via Jagjaguwar. After sharing “Risto’s Riff,” they’re now back with another song from the album, “Them Call Themselves Old Punks.” It’s more of a slow-burner than the other one but still unmistakably Krug-ian (and great). Spencer already talked about how the album has a “vague theme of identify-confusion,” something that comes across pretty clearly with this song’s refrain of “there’s nothing punk about that.” Listen below.

Spencer is currently in the midst of a five-show NYC run with another band he’s in, Wolf Parade (who have a new EP too). Check out pictures, a review and the setlist of night 1. Night 2 was last night (5/18), and you can check out the setlist and some more pics from that below. Night 3 is tonight (5/19).
