Morrissey announces covers LP 'California Son'
If you enjoyed Morrissey’s recent cover of The Pretenders’ “Back on the Chain Gang,” he’s just announced his next LP will be all cover. Titled California Son, it features his take on songs by Roy Orbison, Bob Dylan, Carly Simon, Jobriath, Buffy Sainte Marie, Phil Ochs, Laura Nyro, Joni Mitchell, and more. He made the record with Joe Chiccarelli who has been behind the boards for his last few LPs, and will be released by BMG. Check out the tracklist below.
