Morrissey cancels outdoor show in CA for being too cold (on-stage heater broke)

Stop us if you think that you’ve heard this one before: Morrissey canceled a show. Specifically, it was Sunday (11/5) night’s show at Vina Robles Amphitheatre in Paso Robles, in central California and the reason, as Slicing Up Eyeballs notes, for cancelling the outdoor show was “due to an inoperable heating system onstage.” Temperatures in Paso Robles on Sunday night were in the mid-40s, which definitely is not warm. Video below of the announcement at the show, where the venue promises to reschedule the show in 2018, below.

In other news, Morrissey is playing Smiths’ song “I Started Something I Couldn’t Finish” on this tour, which he had never played live till this tour. The album it is from, 1987’s Strangeways Here We Come, was released after The Smiths broke up. Video of its debut in Portland is below.

Morrissey’s tour hits NYC at the indoors Theatre at Madison Square Garden on December 2 (tickets).
