Morrissey played Brooklyn's Kings Theatre, covered The Ramones (pics, setlist, video)

Morrissey wrapped up a short North American tour (that began at Riot Fest Chicago) in Brooklyn on Saturday night (9/24), playing Brooklyn’s gorgeous Kings Theatre. His fans are notoriously fervent: as usual a few managed to make it on stage to hug him before being pried off by security and a shirt tossed into the crowd turned into a scene out of a Black Friday shopping frenzy. Also as usual, he favored newer material as much as material from The Smiths and prime early solo work. He also, in a tip of the hat to his whereabouts, covered The Ramones’ “Judy is a Punk” before wrapping things up with “Irish Blood, English Heart.” Pics from the Kings Theatre show are in the gallery above, and video of the Ramones cover, setlist, and a few instagram pics are below.

Meahwhile in celebration of the Brooklyn show, the official MPORIUM popup shop opened for business Saturday morning at  Sugar Mutts animal rescue in Bushwick (130 Palmetto St) and is open today (9/25) till 5 PM. A few Instagrams from that are below too.
