Morrissey selling autographed copies of OTHER artists' LPs & "Fuck the Guardian" t-shirts at shows
Morrissey‘s tour with Interpol wraps up tonight in Houston and had its penultimate show on Saturday at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl. There are a couple of interesting items available at his merch booth these days. In addition to vinyl copies of his own records, he’s selling autographed copies of other artists’ albums, favorites of his like Patti Smith’s Horses, David Bowie’s Aladdin Sane, The Stooges’ Raw Power, and Lou Reed’s Transformer. Signed saying “Morrissey loves… Patti” etc, they sell for $300 a pop. He’s also selling a t-shirt that says “Fuck the Guardian,” which Morrissey has been wearing on stage. The press is Enemy #1 for Morrissey these days, with the UK paper the clear focus of his ire. The Guardian, far from the only outlet to report on Morrissey’s support of the far-right For Britain political party and the other dumb stuff he continues to do/say these days, responded on Twitter, saying “These days the feeling is … We’re too polite to say.”
Check out pics from the merch booth below.
Morrissey is selling classic albums from other artists signed by him on his tour for £300 and it’s the funniest /lamest thing I’ve ever seen.
