Mothers prep new LP, share 1st single, touring w/ Lucy Dacus, Japanese Breakfast, more

Mothers, the band led by distinctive singer-songwriter Kristine Leschper, will be back with new album Render Another Ugly Method on September 7 via ANTI-. Leschper relocated Mothers’ base of operations from Athens, GA to Philadelphia since their debut album, and the new one was produced by John Congleton, You can listen to the twitchy, haunting “Blame Kit,” below.

You can catch Mothers on tour this summer where they’ll support both Lucy Dacus and then Japanese Breakfast on some East Coast dates, and then they’ll be out on a headlining tour this fall including a NYC show at Baby’s All Right on September 20. Tickets for that show go on sale at 10 AM.
