Mr. Bungle @ Fonda Theatre Night 2 (full video, setlist)

Mr Bungle continued their three-night reign at Los Angeles Fonda Theatre — their first shows in 20 years — on Thursday night (2/6). Mike Patton, Trevor Dunn, and Trey Spruance, with help from Anthrax’s Scott Ian and former Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo, played pretty much the same set as Night 1, including songs from their thrash-inspired 1986 demo The Raging Wrath of The Easter Bunny, plus covers like Seals & Crofts yacht rock classic “Summer Breeze” (which followed a bit of Slayer’s “Hell Awaits”), Siege’s “Cold War,” “Speak English or Die” (re-written as “Speak Spanish or Die”) by Scott Ian’s band Stormtroopers of Death, Circle Jerks’ “World Up My Ass,” 7 Seconds’ “You Lose,” with a bit of Faith No More’s “Real Thing” worked in, Corrosion of Conformity’s “Loss for Words” and the Mister Roger’s Neighborhood theme which opened the show. The Fonda Theatre run wraps up tonight with openers Melvins and Cunts opening, and then Mr. Bungle’s reunion tour heads to San Francisco on Saturday and Sunday, and then head to NYC for sold-out Brooklyn Steel shows on Monday and Tuesday.
