‘Mr. Show’ alumni Bob Odenkirk, David Cross and Brian Posehn are touring together (dates)

Bob and David

On June 10, 2013, I wrote a post about an incredible looking Tenacious D curated 1-day comedy/music festival called Festival Supreme which is happening on the Santa Monica Pier in California on Saturday October 19, 2013. The festival includes a performance from The Mr. Show Experience and if you look carefully at the post you will notice that my mention of said troupe was followed by the coveted exclamation-point-in-parentheses qualifier, which is basically Klaus Kinski Shorthand for “Holy shit are you serious!?”

Being the impoverished pea-brain that I am, I’ve been scrambling to figure out ways to afford a trip out there to see this majestic show of shows, but so far my endeavors as prostitute, drug pusher, stand-over man, body guard, and dentist have hardly made a dent in my finances so I probably won’t make it out there which has me in a depressive funk. HOWEVER the grey bog that has overwhelmed my mood got a ray of sunshine when David Cross posted on his FaceBooks that a show called Bob (Odenkirk) and David (cross) and Brian (Posehn) would be doing a 5-city tour, including a show at the venerable Town Hall on Thursday, Sep 12, 2013(!)

Bob and Brian and I will be doing at least three new sketches (if not a bunch more) and stand-up, and who knows what all else? We’d be doing more but unfortunately our schedules don’t allow for it. Bob is very busy with The Birthday Boys (premiering soonish on IFC) and I am directing a movie I wrote in upstate NY. I’ll tell you more about that later.

The day before that, Bob tweeted:

ME, DAVID, and BRIAN POSEHN on TOUR in September! We’ll be doing standup AND sketch, BOTH – Never been done! PRE-SALE links to COME…
