Murder City Devils singer Spencer Moody streaming solo material, playing shows (Saint Vitus included)

Murder City Devils have been reunited for a while, but right now singer Spencer Moody is focusing on his own project. His newest release is this year’s single “I Relent,” which he recorded with a backing band that includes Void guitarist Bubba Depree, Murder CIty Devils bassist Derek Fudesco, drummer and famed producer Dave Way, and keyboardist Buddy Ross. It follows last year’s “Single Car Accident” b/w “Polish Handgun” single and some bandcamp releases too. For this stuff, Spencer’s voice is as growled and distinct as it is in Murder City, but the music is more of a dark bluesy, folky rock thing. Listen below.

Spencer has a few dates scheduled at the moment, including NYC’s Saint Vitus on December 6. Tickets for that show are on sale now. All known dates are listed below.
