Murphy's Law are back, announce first show since Jimmy G's surgery

NYHC legends Murphy’s Law have had to cancel several shows due to frontman Jimmy Gestapo undergoing surgery (including a hometown Rocks Off Cruise), but Jimmy has finally recovered and is ready to play again. Their first show back will be on Halloween night in their hometown at Brooklyn venue The Kingsland. Opening is fellow NYHC vets Urban Waste, and two comparatively newer local bands: Drunken Rampage (who were supposed to open ML’s Rocks Off Cruise) and Ache. One person commented on the Facebook event asking if Jimmy G would be well enough to play, and Jimmy himself replied with a thumbs up. Tickets are on sale.

In an effort to raise money for Jimmy’s medical bills, there was a benefit show in Tompkins Square Park on Saturday (9/29) with The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Sheer Terror, Killing Time, and Combust. Show promoters BlacknBlue Productions issued a statement/thank you note after the show:

OFFICIAL STATEMENT – Black N’ Blue Productions & The New York Hardcore Chronicles would like to thank EVERYONE that was a part of the Jimmy G. Benefit in Tompkins Square Park last Sat. (Sept. 28th.) From the key organizers and volunteers who put in hours of selfless work, to the bands that got up there and played incredible sets and especially all of the people that showed up to support this great event. We appreciate each and every one of you. Together we raised over $25,000.00 for Jimmy G. after expenses. A big special thank you to our old friend Dickey Barrett and the rest of The Mighty Mighty Bosstones who stepped up and showed their true colors when it counted the most. It was a great history making day in our beloved Tompkins Square Park. The NYHC family is alive, well and strong in the greatest city in the world! Thanx again and we’ll see you soon at the Black N’ Blue Bowl 2019. James Drescher Laurens Kusters Brian Daniels Mike Fullam Mark Yoshitomi Jonathan Buske Andrew Vacante Sunny Singh

Great news all around and glad to hear Jimmy is ready to play again!
