British-Lebanese musician Nadine Khouri was discovered by frequent PJ Harvey collaborator John Parish, who asked her to contribute vocals to his album Screenplay. Nearly a decade later, Parish produced Khouri’s atmospheric debut album, The Salted Air, which was recently released via One Flash. “I Ran Thru The Dark (To The Beat Of My Heart)” is set to be the LP’s new single, which will be out as a four-track “extended single” on March 31 which includes a cover of Bruce Springsteen’s “I’m on Fire.” We’re premiering one of the other virtual b-sides, the gorgeous “Away From The Noise,” which Nadine tells us a little about:

I am easily overwhelmed by the noise and speed of things around me these days. It’s an early track that didn’t make the album, but where I started exploring the atmospheric direction that eventually led to “The Salted Air.” It’s also a rare track where I play a (really lazy) guitar solo!

You can stream “Away from Noise” and the whole The Salted Air album, below.

For those in London, Nadine will play St. Pancras Old Church on the EP’s release date (3/31).
