Nas-produced, Erykah Badu-starring film 'The Land' coming, ft. music by Kanye

There’s a new, Nas-produced and Erykah Badu-starring movie on the way, and as you can probably imagine, the soundtrack might be as exciting as the movie. The movie is called The Land, and it’s about teenagers in Cleveland who want to be professional skateboarders but have to deal with gangs and drugs and so on. In addition to Badu, it stars Michael K Williams (aka Omar in The Wire) and rapper Machine Gun Kelly, and was directed by Steven Caple Jr. The movie comes out on July 29 in theaters and On Demand via IFC Films. You can check out a new trailer below.

The trailer reveals that the soundtrack will also drop on July 29 via Nas’ label Mass Appeal, and features new music from Badu, Nas and MGK, as well as Kanye West, Pusha T, Jeremih, French Montana, Nosaj Thing and more.
