Natural Selection (officially) taking over Galapagos

Galapagos

A press release was sent out about Natural Selection…..

A new venue has evolved in Williamsburg!

NATURAL SELECTION will build on Galapagos Art Space’s long history in Williamsburg.

The landlord and Galapagos Art Space are pleased to announce:

In an exciting development for New York City’s performing arts and music scene, Michael Palms, Matthew Roff, of Southpaw, & Larry Hyland, of Matchless, are taking over the old Galapagos Art Space!

Natural Selection, the new venue, will continue to feature cutting edge programming, art and music.
And,
Galapagos Art Space will continue to be a presence in Williamsburg by helping to create cultural and community programs that continue to partner the community with the new venue. Galapagos, which is moving to the DUMBO neighborhood this spring, will also present a “Best Of” series based on the work presented by Galapagos Art Space in DUMBO.

Natural Selection
The new partners have a long history of contribution to New York City’s cultural ecosystem. Southpaw pioneered the south Brooklyn music scene.
and through Matchless in Greenpoint, and Apartment 138 in Boerum Hill, they’ve brought an endless list of local musical talent and created an eclectic restaurant experience throughout Brooklyn. Ted Mann & Michael Esposito joined the team with over a decade of restaurant and bar experience under their belt.

“Natural Selection” as its name suggests, will help evolve and develop the Brooklyn arts and culture scene. Galapagos Art Space held over three hundred fundraising events for local non profit and community groups, and Natural Selection will continue the venues traditions.
