Negative Approach played El Cortez w/ J Mascis' Stooges cover band (videos)

Dinosaur Jr are on tour now with Negative Approach frontman John Brannon’s band Easy Action, with BrooklynVegan-presented NYC shows happening tonight (10/2) and Tuesday (10/3) at Brooklyn Bowl (tickets). Ahead of those shows, Negative Approach headlined their own NYC show at The Safari Room at El Cortez last night (10/1). The opener was Stooges tribute band Ron + Scott, whose lineup has counted J Mascis as a member in the past, but they wouldn’t say if Mascis would be with them at this Brooklyn show.
