Neil Patrick Harris performed as Hedwig at Wigstock (video); Bushwig fest is this weekend

Famed NYC drag festival Wigstock returned in force over Labor Day Weekend for its first big event in more than 15 years, thanks to Neil Patrick Harris and co-creator Lady Bunny. Held at South Street Seaport’s Pier 17 on Saturday, Wigstock featured over 50 drag performers, including Harris himself who reprised his role as Hedwig (with Lena Hall reprising her role as Yitzhak). “What’s up bitches?,” he greeted the crowd before launching into classic song “Origin of Love.” Watch video of that, and check out a few other instagrams from Wigstock 2018, below.

Meanwhile, the 2018 edition of annual drag festival Bushwig happens this weekend (9/8 & 9/9) at Knockdown Center:
