El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie was surprise-announced a couple weeks back and will drop on Netflix on October 11. Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan wrote and directed the film which picks up Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul)’s story after the events of the series finale (which aired back in 2013). The two-and-a-half-hour film also features a handful of other Breaking Bad characters, though the only ones confirmed are Jesse’s pals Skinny Pete (Charles Baker) and Badger (Matt L. Jones). There hasn’t been much revealed as to the plot but Gilligan told The Hollywood Reporter, “I’m hoping when the movie comes out, people won’t say, ‘Oh, man, this guy should’ve left well enough alone.'” You can watch a brief teaser for El Camino below and a more proper trailer is set to air during this Sunday’s Emmys telecast.

If you’d like to see this Breaking Bad Movie in an actual movie theater, you can do that — it will screen in 61 cities the weekend of October 11. In NYC it’s playing at Alamo Drafthouse in Brooklyn and IFC Center in Manhattan. Head here for tickets and to see if its playing near you.
