New York Comic Con 2018 - Saturday pictures & trailers

East Coast pop culture behemoth New York Comic Con continued its 2018 edition on Saturday (10/6) at NYC’s Jacob Javits Center. Comics, movies, television, anime, and gaming all have a home at the convention, which is expected to host 250,000 attendees this year. Cosplay also has a major presence at NYCC, with costumes ranging from an array of Marvel and DC heroes and villains to characters from horror movies and beyond. On Saturday, we saw more people dressed as variations on Spider-Man, including Spider-Man Santa and Spider-Man Where’s Waldo, as well as Marge Simpson, Aladdin and Jasmine, Rick and Morty, a retired, wise-cracking Wonder Woman, Stephen King characters (including the twins from The Shining and Pennywise the Clown), Frank the Rabbit from Donnie Darko, some The Walking Dead-inspired zombies, most of The Endless from Neil Gaiman’s Sandman, and more. We also saw some music related cosplayers, including a group dressed as Ghoul, an amazing recreation of Janelle Monae‘s “PYNK” video outfit, Kanye West and Lil Pump‘s oversized “I Love It” video suits, and people dressed like Daft Punk and Prince. Check out pictures of that and lots more in the gallery above.

Saturday also included more panels, screenings and events at Comic Con, with some anticipated new television and movie trailer premieres among them. The Amazon Prime series adaptation of Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett’s 1990 novel Good Omens, which comes out in 2019 and stars David Tennant and Michael Sheen, screened its first, Queen-soundtracked trailer at a panel at Hulu Theatre. At another Hulu Theater panel, a screening of the trailer for season two of CBS All Access’s Star Trek: Discovery offered a first look at Ethan Peck‘s Spock. Watch both of those below.
