New Yorker Fest 2017 lineup: Laura Marling, Seth Meyers, Chelsea Manning & more

The New Yorker Festival holds its 2017 edition on October 6 – 8 in various venues around NYC, and includes talks, movie screenings, live music performances and more. The lineup and schedule is out and tickets for all events go on sale Friday, September 8 at noon with a Mastercard presale starting Thursday (9/7) at 11 AM.

There are two music events this year: Laura Marling will talk with John Seabrook at Gramercy Theatre on October 7; and Carly Rae Jepsen will talk with Amanda Petrusich and also perform live at SIR Stage37 on October 6.

On the comedy front: Seth Meyers will talk with Ariel Levy about “the conscience of a comedian” at the New York Society for Ethical Culture on 10/6; Kumail Nanjiani (The Big Sick) talks with Emma Allen at the SVA Theatre on 10/7; The Daily Show’s Hasan Minhaj talks with Vinson Cunningham at the Gramercy Theatre on 10/8; and Pete Holmes will perform with friends (TBA) at the SVA Theatre on 10/6.

More: Chelsea Manning will talk with Larissa MacFarquhar at SIR Stage37 on 10/8; Sofia Coppola talks about her new movie The Beguiled and other subjects at the SVA Theatre on 10/6; Ryan Murphy (American Horror Story, American Crime Story) talks with TV critic Emily Nussbaum at SIR Stage37 on 10/7; Jon Hamm talks with Susan Morrison at SIR Stage37 on 10/7; and Anthony Bourdain will talk about his food waste documentary and other subjects at New York Society for Ethical Culture on 10/7.
