Newport Folk Festival 2019 lineup and set times

Newport Folk Festival returns for its 2019 edition on July 26-28 at Fort Adams State Park in Newport, RI. As usual, tickets sold out almost immediately, but if you’re still in the market you can try your luck at the festival’s fan-to-fan ticket exchange.

This year’s gradually-revealed lineup includes Adia Victoria, Black Belt Eagle Scout, Kacey Musgraves, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, Sheryl Crow, The Highwomen (aka the collaboration between Amanda Shires, Brandi Carlile, Maren Morris, and Natalie Hemby), Phil Lesh and The Terrapin Family Band, Warren Haynes, YOLA and more on Friday; Dawes (and friends), Haley Heynderickx, Jade Bird, Jeff Tweedy, Kevin Morby, Lucy Dacus, Mountain Man, Rayland Baxter, The Nude Party, something called “♀♀♀♀: THE COLLABORATION”, and more on Saturday; and Courtney Marie Andrews, J.S. Ondara, Nilüfer Yanya, Phosphorescent, Portugal. The Man, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Trey Anastasio and more on Sunday. Of course, Newport is also traditionally a fertile ground for surprise appearances and one-off collaborations, too. See the current lineup in full here.

While it’s not on their website yet, the festival’s schedule has been revealed on its official app, and you can download it to see it in full. There aren’t really any full set conflicts, but many sets partially overlap, including Black Belt Eagle Scout and Adia Victoria, Adia Victoria and YOLA, and The Highwomen and Phil Lesh and The Terrapin Family Band on Friday, and The Nude Party and Jade Bird, Kevin Morby and Lucy Dacus, Lucy Dacus and Jeff Tweedy, and Jeff Tweedy and Mountain Man on Saturday.
