Nine Inch Nails covered Bowie at their first show in 3 years (pics, video, setlist)

Nine Inch Nails played their first show in over three years yesterday (7/19) at Bakersfield, CA’s Rabobank Arena. The show was a warm up for NIN’s upcoming festival dates, including this weekend’s FYF Fest in LA (where their set may be streaming on twitter), next weekend’s Panorama in NYC (where they’re one of our 17 acts not to miss), Chicago’s Riot Fest in September, and Sacramento’s Aftershock in October. It was also a chance for them to debut songs from their Add Violence EP, which drops this week, as well as their late-2016 EP Not the Actual Events. They also played a How to Destroy Angels song and a cover of David Bowie’s “I Can’t Give Everything Away.” Bowie toured with NIN in the 90s, and was a friend and collaborator of Trent Reznor. Watch the Bowie cover, along with some other video clips and the full setlist from last night’s show, below. Pictures are in the gallery above.

Not the Actual Events and Add Violence are the first two entries in NIN’s trilogy of EPs. They say the third and final one will be out by the end of 2017.
