NOLA punks PEARS releasing 'Green Star,' touring with Dag Nasty, Subhumans, more

New Orleans hardcore band PEARS are following their 2014 debut album, Go to Prison, with Green Star on April 1 via Fat Wreck Chords (pre-order). They make punchy, crisply-produced hardcore with just the right amount of melody where you can sing along without calling it “pop punk.” It fits right in with the classic stuff on the Fat roster, and if you’re generally into that kinda thing, PEARS will be right up your alley. PEARS also have a ton of tour dates coming up, including an Australia/New Zealand run with Strung Out, a European run with the reunited Dag Nasty, and US dates with UK legends Subumans. They unfortunately aren’t billed for Subhumans’ NYC show (no other opener is either), but they’ll be at the Connecticut show happening two days earlier.

They play their own NYC show though, on a run with Such Gold, at Saint Vitus on April 21 with support from NJ’s xylophone-fueled punks Crazy & the Brains. Tickets for that show are on sale. All dates are listed below.
