Numero Group going on pop-up shop tour; NYC’s is same weekend as WFMU Record Fair
Highly regarded reissue label Numero Group has done pop-up stores in Chicago and New York around Record Store Day in years past, but this year they’ll really be taking the show on the road with a full-blown pop-up tour:
The label’s traveling record roadshow primarily consists of two guys, a box truck, and seven pallets teeming with Numero LPs, CDs, 45s, t-shirts, books, and other additional miscellany your local record store isn’t carrying.
In addition to an array of crispy, low cost Numero titles and slightly damaged remainders (at blowout prices), they’ll be slinging their as-yet-announced Record Store Day titles, a tour-only tape, and four city specific singles.
Those city-specific singles will be available in Detroit (three of them, pressed at Third Man) and Atlanta (a 200-press reproduction of Sonia Ross’s extremely rare Tragar 45). The NYC stop happens on April 28 & 29 at Duke’s Annex in Greenpoint (where it was last year). All dates of the Numero Group pop-up show tour are listed below.
It should also be noted that the Brooklyn pop-up happens the same weekend as and just a couple blocks away from the WFMU Record Fair which runs April 28-30 at Brooklyn Expo Center.
