Did you catch Aparna Nancherla on the 2nd episode of 2 Dope Queens on HBO this month? Episodes — filmed at Kings Theater in Brooklyn — are being added to HBO each week.

Meanwhile Aparna co-hosts two weekly Monday night shows tonight (2/19): Butterboy at Littlefield with Jo Firestone and Maeve Higgins; tonight’s guests are Chris Gethard, Marina Franklin, Jennie Sutton, Petey DeAbreu, and more (tickets); and then UCB Theater’s long-running free, late-night “Whiplash” show with an unannounced but usually awesome lineup of comics, some of which are often very famous (make reservations). Last week John Mulaney, who wraps up his Radio City run tonight, made surprise appearances at both Butterboy and Whiplash.

Speaking of regular Monday night shows (and Aparna), Side Ponytail is a free comedy show every Monday and every last Saturday of the month at Friends & Lovers in Crown Heights. Tonight’s edition (2/19) features guests Hari Kondabolu (The Problem with Apu), plus Dekunle, Peggy O’Leary, Dave Robinson and Ranaan Hershberg, and the Saturday. February 24 edition features Aparna, Dave Hill, Sam Evans, and Ayanna Dookie.

Michelle Buteau, who you may know from 2 Dope Queens, will be taping her “Late Night Whenever” podcast live from WNYC’s Greene Space on every Tuesday from March 13 – May 1. Guests have not been announced, but tickets are on sale.

Michelle is also part of comedy benefit “Raise the Roof” which happens at The Bell House on Tuesday (2/20) with proceeds going to INARA which provides medical care to children in conflict areas of Syria. Maeve Higgins, Phoebe Robinson, Todd Barry, Chris Gethard, Aparna Nancherla are also on the bill and tickets are on sale now.

Mark Normand, who was also on the first episode of 2 Dope Queens on HBO (his set was my personal favorite), is working on a new hour-long show and will be trying it out at the Comedy Cellar’s Fat Black Pussycat Lounge on Tuesday, February 20 at 8:30 PM, the same night Michael Che is at Comedy Cellar 30 minutes later. Make your reservations.

Mark will also be at Comedy Cellar on Wednesday (2/21) as part of “Robert Kelly Heart Pounding Comedy” at 7 PM, and then later that evening he’s on the 11:30 PM lineup at CC’s MacDougal Street location with Nikki Glaser and more (reservations).

Nikki Glaser is also on the 8 PM show at Village Underground on Thursday (2/22) that also features Mike Birbiglia, Dov Davidoff, Phil Hanley and more. Maybe she’s working on material for her upcoming run at Caroline’s.

Nikki has also replaced Phoebe Robinson (of 2 Dope Queens) on that previously mentioned show that Aparna and Jo Firestone are hosting at Murmrr Theater in Brooklyn on 2/24 with Roy Wood Jr., Mike Lebovitz and more (tickets).

Mike Birbiglia also performs twice on Thursday at the MacDougal Street Comedy Cellar: the 7:30 PM show with Greer Barnes and more, and then the 9:30 PM show with Dov Davidoff and more. Make a reservation.

On February 27 at Comedy Cellar you can catch Jim Norton, Dave Hill and Rachel Feinstein at Tom Papa‘s “Come to Papa Live” (reservations).

Comedy Cellar, Village Underground and Fat Black Pussycat Lounge usually have pretty great lineups and this week in addition to what we’ve mentioned above, you can also catch Michelle Wolf, Dave Attell, and lots more. Check out the venues’ schedules. Todd Barry’s previously mentioned longer show is tonight (2/19).

If you’re interested in the world of comics and the Greenwich Village comedy scene, Pete Holmes‘ HBO series, Crashing, is set in it and features appearances by Aparna Nancherla (who also stars in Comedy Central’s Corporate), Robert Kelly, Artie Lange, Greer Barnes, Greg Fitzsimmons, John Mulaney, and more. The second season is airing now.

And check out John Mulaney’s Netflix specials while you’re at it.
