NYC Concert Update

This is advanced notice… Low are playing Bowery Ballroom on February 3rd and 4th. No, tickets are not on sale yet.

The opener for Scissor Sisters at Hammerstein Ballroom has been announced. It’s VHS or Beta.

Phoenix & Inouk have added a second date at Bowery Ballroom. Those shows are December 1st and 2nd.

Calexico have added New York’s Latin indie band, Cordero, as an opener to their show at Bowery Ballroom. This show should be sold out, but it’s not.

Drive By Truckers has not sold out yet either. $20 for the January 1st day time show. $30 for the New Years Eve Show. These guys recently played Irving Plaza.

$25 for Misfits tickets is way too much. Maybe if Danzig was singing…

Fennesz dropped off the bill for the December 7th show at Knitting Factory. That’s ok because that means Kimya Dawson is headlining.

Kimya Dawson is also opening for Br. Danielson at Northsix on December 3rd.

A band on my long list of guitly pleasures is Motion City Soundtrack. They’ll be at Knitting Factory on December 8th.

Ida will be at Knitting Factory on the 12th for a benefit concert.

The Fever is opening for The Hives on November 21st.

The Flesh, who I always think is The Fever, are playing at Motherfucker on Thanksgiving Eve.

Elkland plays Pianos on November 29th.

Kevine Devine at Pianos on December 8th.

Le Tigre and Lesbians on Ecstasy play Eisner & Lubin Auditorium @ NYU on December 2nd.
