NYC DJ and producer Jason Jinx, RIP
Veteran DJ and dance music producer Jason Jinx, who was a pioneer in NYC rave culture, has died, reports Resident Advisor. A Long Island native, Jason came up in the club scene of the late-’80s and early ’90s, was a member of Frankie Bones’ STORMrave crew, DJ’d at the legendary NASA parties at Shelter, and also spun at such iconic spots as The Tunnel and Limelight. “We are at a loss for words finding out our dear friend Jason Jinx Zambito passed away,” friends and family write on a GoFundMe to help cover funeral costs. “We lost a titan of creativity who’s kindness touched many here in NYC and who’s music had a far reach the world over.”
Rest in peace, Jason. Listen to some of Jason’s mixes and production, and read tributes from fellow DJs, below.

I'm shocked and saddened by the terrible news Jason 'Jinx' Zambito has passed ☹️ He was an incredible talent, a trailblazer in the NY house scene. We were lucky to have him on Yoshi as Joystick with his timeless EPs & remixes. I honestly don't know how to process this right now.
