NYC dreampop band Blessed Isles released long-in-the-works debut LP (listen)

Brooklyn shoegazers Blessed Isles have been together for most of this decade and have been spending the last five years working on their debut album. You can hear the hard work in the finished product, Straining Hard Against the Strength of Night, that is one of the lovelier dreampop hybrids in some time, starting with an undeniable pop backbone that adds gossamer layer after gossamer layer. Fams of Field Mice, The Wake, Chapterhouse and, more recently, Mahogany, you should definitely check this out. A premiere of the whole album is below.

Straining Hard Against the Strength of Night is out now via Saint Marie Records.
