NYC Gay Pride March 2017 in pics

Pride Weekend’s grand finale came on Sunday (6/25) with the 48th annual Pride March. This year’s March was broadcast live on TV for the first time ever, from noon until 3 PM; the actual event ran past 6 PM and drew thousands of revelers and activists alike. Some of the largest crowds accompanied politically themed groups, like Gays Against Guns, Rise and Resist, and Black Lives Matter (who wrote an open letter calling for the removal of uniformed police from Pride), and many signs criticized the Trump administration and police, and called on people to resist. Lots of pictures from the March (some NSFW) are in the gallery above.

Chelsea Manning, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio, Senator Chuck Schumer, Ilana Glazer, and Abbi Jacobson (riding on a Broad City float) were among the notable people to appear at this year’s March.

Pride Weekend also included Pride Island concerts, like Saturday’s with Tegan & Sara, Roisin Murphy, and more.
