NYC’s New Colossus back for 2nd year, right before SXSW (2020 initial lineup)

NYC’s New Colossus music festival and industry conference will be back for a second year in 2020, happening March 11-15 in venues all over the Lower East Side and East Village. That’s right before SXSW so a lot of bands from all over the world who are on their way their will stop at New Colossus first. The festival focuses on emerging talent and the initial 2020 lineup has just been announced with over 70 artists, including Stealing Sheep, The Orielles, Pom Poko, Petrol Girls, Tallies, The Natvral (Kip from Pains of Being Pure at Heart), Weeping Icon, Jeanines, and more.

Like the dearly departed CMJ fest, which was an inspiration for New Colossus, there will be industry panel discussions too, and the whole festival is designed so you can hop around from club to club. (This year’s edition was fun.) Music festival badges ($100) are on sale now and give “access to all venues during the festival plus access to happy hours mixers, venue meetings, special badge only shows and panels.”
