Tony Rettman, who authored the recent NYHC: New York Hardcore 1980-1990 book, is now launching a new online radio show on Green Room Radio. The first episode is with Ted Leo and it airs today (3/2) at noon. Head here to listen to Ted talk about growing up on hardcore, going to ABC No Rio, meeting Aimee Mann, Ted’s upcoming tour with Bob Mould, a new Pharmacists album, and more. Plus, Ted and Tony listen to and discuss music by Born Against, Straight Ahead, Youth of Today and more. After the show airs, a stream will be archived. We’ll update this post with the stream once that’s live.

The new show is also in support of the upcoming film Green Room, which we noted is a thriller about a punk band that ends up trapped in the club’s backstage green room after seeing something they shouldn’t, facing off against Sir Patrick and his gang of neo-nazis.

Future guests on the show will include Keith Morris (Black Flag, Circle Jerks, OFF!), Roger Miret (Agnostic Front), Richie Birkenhead (Underdog) and Ned Russin (Title Fight). Stay tuned for more.

UPDATE: Here’s a stream of episode 1:
