NZ’s Fazerdaze released debut LP on Flying Nun, preps 1st North American tour

fazerdaze

As Fazerdaze, New Zealander Amelia Murray makes breezy, effortlessly melodic indie rock that recalls mid-’90s alt, from Cardigans-y jazzy pop to more fuzzed-out confections. Her debut album, Morningside, came out earlier this year via Flying Nun and fits right in with the label’s rich history (The Chills, The Bats, The Clean). You can stream the whole thing, and watch the video for “Bedroom Talks” (which Amelia filmed in Times Square), below.

Following an appearance at Iceland Airways fest, Amelia will be playing her first proper full-band Fazerdaze headline shows in North America, including NYC on November 8 at Mercury Lounge with rising Canadian artist Common Holly. Tickets are on sale.

Fazerdaze also play Toronto, Chicago and Los Angeles. All dates are listed below.
