OMD prep 40th anniversary singles box, share new track "Don't Go," on tour now

omd

Synthpop greats Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark are celebrating their 40th anniversary this year and will release a new box set, titled Souvenir – The Singles 1979-2019, on October 4. It collects all 39 of the band’s singles, from “Electricity” to “What Have We Done” plus a brand new single, “Don’t Go” to make it an even 40. That new single is a worthy addition too and sounds like classic OMD — listen below.

Souvenir is being released as a two-CD or three-LP set, and there’s a special 5CD+2DVD career spanning boxset edition that also includes 22 unheard and unreleased tracks from the OMD archive, newly mixed by Paul Humphreys. It also has live recordings and a DVD featuring all their BBC live performances, as well as a full 1981 concert, and the DVD debut of Crush: The MoviePre-orders are available and you can check out the tracklist below.

OMD are currently on tour in North America with The B-52’s and Berlin (who are all celebrating 40 years) which hits NYC’s SummerStage at Central Park on September 24 (tickets). OMD have also announced a 40th Anniversary UK/European tour — all dates are listed below.
