ONO touring, playing two Brooklyn shows

Weirdo Chicago noise mainstays ONO are on tour right now, and they drop anchor in NYC tonight (3/31) to play Alphaville with Cellular Chaos, Paint Thinner, Weeping Icon and Maximum Ernst. Then they hit Palisades Friday (4/1) with local noise weirdos Excepter, along with Fox, Tobias & Frye and Patrick Higgins. Tickets are on sale for both shows now.

If you haven’t seen or heard of these guys, they’ve been doing their thing for a long time, and frontman (if you can call it that) Travis is one of the most unique, legitimately alien-seeming presences that you can hope to encounter in a live setting. They mix noise, punk and no wave with a performance-art bent that sets them apart. If you’ve never had a chance to catch them before, you should.
