Opeth add special LA show to tour, play Radio City this weekend (updated dates)
Opeth drop their new album Sorceress in two days (September 30), and they kick off their tour with The Sword in one day (September 29). Just in advance of that, they’ve added a special LA show to their tour and announced that their NYC show will be similarly special.
Both the NYC and the LA show are being billed as “An Evening of Sorcery, Deliverance and Damnation.” What that means is that they’ll be playing two sets. One will be comprised of material from their classic albums Deliverance and Damnation, the companion loud and soft records from 2002/2003 that the band recently reissued. Another will be comprised of material from throughout their career (with a particular focus on Sorceress). That LA show goes down on October 20 at The Belasco, and tickets are on sale now.
The NYC show is coming up this weekend; they hit Radio City Music Hall on October 1. Tickets for that are still on sale.
Check out updated tour dates along with Opeth’s latest single “The Wilde Flowers” and a full stream of the Deliverance/Damnation reissue below.
