Opeth - The Wilde Flowers

Opeth share "The Wilde Flowers" from new LP

Opeth‘s hotly-anticipated new album Sorceress is almost here, dropping as it is on September 30. Following the title track and “Will O The Wisp,” Opeth have shared the new track “The Wilde Flowers.”

This one is again another flavor from the new album, a winding jam with a withdrawn stomp of a central riff, a catchy-as-hell chorus section, a ripping, signature Akerfeldt guitar solo. It’s an extremely mannered, composed song with a good hint of Hammer Horror-type histrionics. It’s my favorite of the three singles (and one of my favorites from the album), one of the more distinct compositions here. Listen below.

Opeth meanwhile have that tour with The Sword coming up, which includes that imminent show at Radio City Music Hall on October 1. Tickets for that are still on sale.

Speaking of, The Sword release their acoustic album Low Country this week. Read about that, and way more new metal releases, in Invisible Oranges’ Upcoming Metal Releases 9/18/2016 – 9/24/2016.
