original Woodstock producer has plans for a 50th anniversary festival

Original Woodstock architect Michael Lang has plans to put on a 50th anniversary festival, presumably in 2019. According to the Poughkeepsie Journal:

Lang told the Journal that discussions are under way with potential partners and different locations are being explored. An overseas event, in addition to one being planned for the U.S., is possible. Details on potential locations and possible performers were not available.

Lang said he foresees an annual festival, staged with the Woodstock name, continuing on beyond the 50th anniversary.

Lang previously tried to get a 40th Anniversary Woodstock show to happen in Prospect Park back in 2009, but he was ultimately unsuccessful. Hopefully this one will pan out.
