Osheaga fest announces 2017 lineup
The lineup is here for this year’s Osheaga Fest, happening August 4-6 at Parc Jean-Drapeau in Montreal (the same weekend as Lollapalooza in Chicago).
The Weeknd, Muse and Lorde are headlining, and the bill also includes Solange, MGMT, Father John Misty, Die Antwoord, Nicolas Jaar, The Shins, Belle and Sebastian, Run the Jewels, Broken Social Scene, Lil Uzi Vert, De La Soul, Tegan and Sara, Flatbush Zombies, Death from Above 1979, Danny Brown, Sampha, Foxygen, Angel Olsen, Little Dragon, Car Seat Headrest, Strand of Oaks, The Lemon Twigs, Hamilton Leithauser, Cloud Nothings, Noname, Cherry Glazerr, Beach Slang, Swet Shop Boys, and more. The Weeknd is also co-headlining Bonnaroo and Firefly which Muse is also playing on their upcoming tour that includes Jones Beach.
Lorde, on the top row at Osheaga, is slightly lower down at Bonnaroo, but also really high up at Governors Ball.
Solange was just announced as one of the headliners of Pitchfork Fest.
Run the Jewels probably already deserve higher billing at Osheaga based on their four-sold-out Terminal 5 shows in a row.
Fellow hip hop act Swet Shop Boys are billed wayyy lower, like they are on Coachella (which just announced Lady Gaga as Beyonce’s replacement), though one of their members is one of the most famous people on the entire bill.
