Owen announces 2019 tour dates
The reunited American Football continue to stay active, playing shows here and there in continued support of their 2016 reunion album and starting to talk about a third album. They don’t have anything on their schedule right now, but frontman Mike Kinsella’s solo project Owen does. He’s playing a couple shows with his Polyvinyl labelmate Fred Thomas in the Northwest this weekend, and he just announced a short Northeast/Midwest run for 2019.
The 2019 run includes a Brooklyn show on February 16 at Rough Trade. Tickets for that show go on sale Friday (11/30) at 10 AM with an AmEx presale starting today (11/28) at noon. All dates are listed below.
When we interviewed Mike in 2017 and asked about a new Owen album, he said: “There’s always a new Owen record in the works. Just wandering around my house, I just pick up guitars and that’s sort of just always what I’m sort of working on passively.” Stay tuned.
