The info is dropped at the end of a feature about the recording of Loveless' opening cut "Only Shallow." While Shields had said MBV "100% will" have a new album in 2018, the summer release of the EP does jibe with his previous statement saying "We’re going to play live again, so that’s always a really good way to guarantee that we’ll get the record done."
