Painted Doll (Dave Hill + Autopsy’s Chris Reifert) sign to Tee Pee for debut LP

Painted Doll

Painted Doll, the collaboration between metal legend Chris Reifert (of Death, Autopsy, and others) and comedian/musician Dave Hill, have signed to trusty stoner rock label Tee Pee Records for the release of their debut album. The self-titled record is due out on February 16, 2018. They also have live shows TBA.

BV’s Klaus Kinski wrote about Painted Doll after they released their first two songs, “Carousel” and “Together Alone.” They since released a third, “Hidden Hand.” Listen to all three below.

While we wait for more from Painted Doll, Dave Hill (whose band Valley Lodge do the theme song for Last Week Tonight With John Oliver) will be hosting the BrooklynVegan-presented music supervision panel, “Sounds on the Screen: A Behind the Scenes Look at Music Supervision,” on Monday (10/23) at Brooklyn Central Library’s Dweck Auditorium. The panel includes Meghan Currier, Peter Gannon, Mike Ladman, Zach Pollakoff, and Abby Rubin. It’s free to attend — more info here.
