Panda Bear played new songs at Brooklyn Steel with Geologist (pics, setlist, videos)

Panda Bear is on tour now with his Animal Collective bandmate Geologist in support of his A Day with the Homies EP that he released this past January. He played Brooklyn Steel on Saturday (5/5), and performed every song from the EP plus five other new songs that he’s been previewing on this tour. As for older material, there wasn’t much: “Last night at the Jetty,” “Tropic of Cancer,” “Untying the Knot” and “No Mans Land” (nothing off Person Pitch). Pictures of the show are in the gallery above and Panda Bear’s setlist is below, alongside a couple live videos of the new songs (from previous shows on the tour).

Panda Bear will return to that same Brooklyn venue when Animal Collective play David Lynch’s Festival of Disruption at Brooklyn Steel on May 20. Later this year, Panda Bear and Avey Tare are touring Animal Collective’s Sung Tongs in full, including two shows at NYC’s Town Hall.
