Panorama Fest 2016, Day 1 in Photos

Coachella East aka Panorama first-ever day went down on Randall’s Island in NYC on Friday, 7/22, with sets by Arcade Fire, DJ Khaled, Broken Social Scene, FKA Twigs, Schooboy Q, Lindsey Sterling, Little Scream, Here We Go Magic, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Algiers, Silversun Pickups, Major Lazer, Alabama Shakes, Madlib, a DJ set by Mike D of the Beastie Boys and more.

Arcade Fire closed out the night in the crowd, as they often do, but this time it was with an assist by Preservation Hall Jazz Band who played their own set earlier in the day. Arcade Fire also paid tribute to David Bowie during their set. DJ Khaled, also pulling a move we’ve seen before, was joined by special guests T.I. Fat Joe, and Remy Ma.

We’ll have a lot more to say about the Goldenvoice-presented fest later, but meanwhile enjoy the Day One Photos in the gallery above, bands, crowd, art, food and The Lab included. Check back for even more pictures from Friday and all days too.

Panorama continues Saturday with The Julie Ruin, Daughter, Anderson Paak, Blood Orange, The National, Sufjan Stevens, Kendrick Lamar and much more. A bunch of these artists are on our list of non-headliners we’re looking forward to see.

LCD Soundsystem headlines Sunday. If you’re not there, some sets are streaming on SiriusXM.
