Panorama Fest Friday cancelled due to severe weather in NYC
It’s not the greatest weather in NYC right now, with flash flood watches till 6 PM. Due to that, NYC’s Panorama Festival, which just got underway at Randall’s Island, has cancelled the rest of Friday and are currently evacuating the venue. Friday was to have included sets from The Weeknd, Father John Misty, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Migos, The War on Drugs, Yaeji and more. The crowd at the main stage was not happy about the news and chanted “fuck you!” — video of that below.
UPDATE: Panorama has shared information about Friday refunds for ticketholders:
Friday passes purchased online and at the box office via credit/debit card will be automatically refunded. Partial refunds will be given for 2-day and weekend pass holders. Refunds will start Monday, 7/30, and may take up to 2-4 weeks to be processed. For additional questions reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org.
As Panorama’s tweet says below, they’ll be open Saturday as planned.
We are evacuating the island due to severe weather. Please exit the way you entered. Ferries and shuttles are running and the pedestrian bridge is open. Panorama has been cancelled for today and we will see you tomorrow. pic.twitter.com/jrzEf9V8oj
