NYC’s inaugural Panorama music festival on Randall’s Island is a wrap. We already posted some day 1 pics, day 2 pics, day 3 pics, day 2 review and more pics, video of Arcade Fire, Schoolboy Q and Joey Bada$$ reviews, and pictures of Sia, and now here’s more pictures and review of day 3 (Sunday, July 24).

Flatbush Zombies were one of the first acts to perform on the main Panorama stage on Sunday. The Brooklyn hip-hop trio performed songs mainly off their most recent album 3001: A Laced Odyssey. They hyped up an excited audience, even jumping in the crowd with them an moshing with them. In addition to playing their own songs they brought out Joey Bada$$.

Next up was folky pop-punk band The Front Bottoms. In replacement of their usual bass player (who was on his honeymoon), the band had Kevin Devine stand in. The group seemed genuinely excited to be there, and joked with the crowd about how crazy they all got at their bassist’s wedding that weekend. They played a good variety of songs from their discography and closed out the show with one of their more popular songs “Twin Size Mattress”.

Following The Front Bottoms performance, Kurt Vile took the stage. The Philly-based musician showed off his musical talents, switching between guitars and throwing in a banjo too. Kurt played “Pretty Pimpin”, which the crowd loved, and ended his performance with the acoustic song “Stand Inside” off his most recent album b’lieve i’m goin down…

Run The Jewels performed next on the Panorama stage. The duo played a mix of songs off their first two albums, and Killer Mike hinted at their next album, yelling “Run The Jewels 3”  while they walked off stage. They played a fun show and talked with the audience between songs, apologizing to those in the front who were just there to wait for LCD Soundsystem and applauding all the girls who sang along to all the songs. Keeping with the relatively political theme many of the artists took this weekend, RTJ discussed the election which lead to a “fuck Trump” chant from the crowd. They warned about all politicians and their tendency to lie and cheat, leading into no other than their song “Lie, Cheat, Steal”. RTJ also brought out their pal Despot.

Next up was A$AP Rocky, who had the whole A$AP Mob there for his set at the Pavilion stage. The group played their newest single “Yamborghini High”, encouraged mosh pits from the crowd and had an extremely high energy performance. Other songs played were “Fuckin’ Problems”, “Wild for the Night”, and “L$D”. A$AP also brought out his recent signee Playboi Carti.

The last act of the weekend was LCD Soundsystem at the Panorama stage. This was the first big show in NYC for the group (following two intimate Webster Hall shows), and frontman James Murphy spoke about how it feels so good to be home. The band stuck to their hits, and told the crowd they were trying to get through as many songs as they could. They played “Daft Punk Is Playing at My House”, “All My Friends”, “Someone Great”, “New York I Love You, But You’re Bringing Me Down” and many more within their two-hour time slot. They even threw in a cover of Alan Vega’s “Bye Bye Bayou”. Their performance was a timeless ode to NYC, the city they clearly love, and a perfect way to wrap up the weekend.
