Panorama Festival

Panorama update: shuttles will run from Williamsburg, no single day tickets (yet?) & more

UPDATE: Single day tickets on sale now.

After location and date changes and pushback from Governors Ball (who have since thrown shade), the inaugural Panorama festival was announced for July 22-24 on Randall’s Island. Day one is headlined by Arcade Fire, their first NYC show since the Reflektor tour; day two by Kendrick Lamar; and day three by LCD Soundsystem, the first announced hometown date of their reunion tour.

Other highlights on the lineup include the first Broken Social Scene show in NYC since 2011 on day one, a DJ set from Mike D of Beastie Boys on day one, and the first The National show in NYC since 2014 on day two. Not to mention there’s other cool stuff like White Lung (who just announced a new album), Daughter (who recently released a new album), hip hop veteran Madlib, and sets from the dependably great Sufjan Stevens, A$AP Rocky, Run The Jewels, Kurt Vile and more. Check out the full day-by-day lineup here or below. Set times will be posted “in the days prior to the festival.”

According to the FAQs, “Single Day passes are not currently available for purchase. There is no timeline in place for Single Day passes to be on sale.” That doesn’t necessarily imply Single Day passes will never be for sale, so stay tuned for more on that.

UPDATE: Single day tickets on sale now.

Meanwhile, three-day passes, starting at $369, are on sale now. Passes not only include admission to the festival, but free admission to the Queens Museum, where the Ramones retrospective will run from April 10 through July 31. The Panorama of the City of New York exhibit is on display there too.

You can also purchase passes for transportation to the festival. If you’re coming from Manhattan there’s a ferry pass, though it’s potentially easier (and definitely cheaper) just to walk or bike across the RFK/125th St bridge or the E. 103rd St footbridge. If you are biking, there’s a dedicated lot with bike racks. But most interestingly, there’s a shuttle from Williamsburg running to and from the fest. “Shuttles will depart Williamsburg, Brooklyn from 11:00am to 6:00pm. Returning shuttles to Brooklyn will begin at 8:00pm and run continuously until everyone is off the island.” Also: you can be dropped off by car, but no parking on Randall’s Island. Directions here.

For more general info, head here. Some important notes: There’s no re-entry, kids under 2 get in for free, lockers will be available, and it’s a rain or shine event. Vegetarian/vegan and gluten free food will also be available. Also, leave your multi-use e-cigs, acoustic guitars, flags, umbrellas and water guns at home. See the full list of prohibited items here.
