Parquet Courts were on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert last night (7/14) performing “Captive of the Sun” from this year’s Human Performance. It was an augmented lineup of the band, with members of PC Worship and Eaters helping fill out the sound for what is certainly the closest Parquet Courts have ever come to groovy. The group also brought out UGK’s Bun B for a guest verse which, if you know the song, isn’t as crazy as it may sound. (Also, singer/guitarist Austin Brown is a big Houston rap fan.) Watch the performance below.

Parquet Courts will be on tour in August, including a sold-out Brooklyn show at Market Hotel. They’ll also be headed to the UK and Europe in the fall.
