Parquet Courts get funky at Mardi Gras for "Wide Awake!" video

Parquet Courts have shared the title track to their forthcoming Danger Mouse-produced album, Wide Awake! (That’s the band’s exclamation point, not that we’re not excited.) The song is almost funky, a side mostly unheard from the band before, and the video follows suit. Purple suits to be specific, as filmmaker Brother Willis followed them around New Orleans during Mardi Gras. They are clearly having a good time and you can watch that below.

Wide Awake! is out May 18 via Rough Trade. The band will be on tour with UK group Goat Girl right after the record’s release, though there’s still no NYC date announce. All dates are listed below.
