Parquet Courts played Rough Trade (full set video), add NYC shows to tour
Parquet Courts celebrated the release of their new album, Wide Awake!, with a lunch hour show at Brooklyn’s Rough Trade today (5/17). They decorated the stage with a giant blob of balloons and at one point they were joined by members of PILL, Public Practice, Drawing Boards and more. The show streamed live via Pitchfork and you can watch an archive of the whole show below.
Meanwhile, Parquet Courts have just added two three NYC shows to their tour: Public Arts on June 9 with Flexi (former members of Chalk & Numbers/Decorum); and a Northside-presented Rocks Off Concert Cruise on June 10 with Ethiopian musician Hailu Mergia. and Elsewhere Rooftop on June 11 with Goat Girl. Tickets for Public Arts, the boat show and Elsewhere Rooftop go on sale Friday, May 18 at noon. Updated tour dates are listed below.
